Why I chose to become a teacher:
As a young adult I enjoyed being physically active through sports both group and individual. When I was 16 I made a choice to become an advid runner and began running every single day. When I went to college I continued to run on my own and began to pursue a degree in the medical field. After a year I decided that medicine wasn't right for me but I enjoyed the health and wellness portion of the classes that I began taking as well as influencing people to lead a healthier life through lifestyle choices. From that moment on I began to pursue my degree as a future Health and Physical Education teacher. I enjoyed having a positive impact on not only children but also adults. Helping individuals discover the benefits of being physically active and proactive with lifestyle choices is rewarding. Once I began working within school systems I enjoyed the ins and outs of education and working with youth inside and outside of school settings whether within my degree or outside of it. I find education to be one of the most rewarding fields to work in, influencing children and young adults to be the best versions of themselves both inside and outside of school.
